The railways museum was established in 1971 by the then East African Railways and Harbors’ Corporation to preserve and display relics and records of the railways of East Africa from their inception to the present day. National Archives, One of the key functions of the Kenya National Archives is to acquire and preserve valuable public and private records which form part of the national documentary heritage. There are eight repositories / storage areas with a holding of approximately 600 million pages of documents.
