Day 1: Nairobi – Salt Lick Safari Lodge
Morning: Departure from Nairobi
05:00 AM: Depart Nairobi by road via Mombasa Road (A109).
Drive through Machakos, Mtito Andei, and Voi, enjoying scenic landscapes of Ukambani and Tsavo regions.
Quick stopovers for breakfast and refreshments (e.g., Mtito Andei) self-sponsored
Midday: Arrival at Taita Hills Sanctuary
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Arrive at Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.
Pass through the gate and drive into the Sanctuary.
Check-in at Salt Lick Safari Lodge – a unique elevated lodge overlooking a busy waterhole.
Afternoon: Lunch & Relaxation
• 01:30 PM: Buffet lunch at the lodge.
• Relax and enjoy views of wildlife from the observation decks or your room.

Evening: Game Drive
• 04:00 PM – 06:30 PM: Join an evening game drive in the sanctuary.
o Spot elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, and possibly lions and cheetahs.
• Watch the sunset over the rolling Taita Hills.
Night: Dinner & Overnight
• 07:30 PM: Dinner at the lodge.
• Optional: Enjoy wildlife at night from the lodge’s viewing tunnel or platforms.
• Overnight at Salt Lick Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Salt Lick – Nairobi
Early Morning: Game Drive
06:30 AM – 08:00 AM: Optional early morning game drive.
Enjoy the crisp air and sunrise as animals are most active.
Morning: Breakfast & Checkout 08:30 AM: Return for breakfast.
10:00 AM: Check out of the lodge.
Midday: Return Journey to Nairobi
• 10:30 AM: Depart Salt Lick via road back to Nairobi.
• Stop for lunch en route (e.g., at Voi or Mtito Andei).
• 05:30 PM – 06:30 PM: Arrive back in Nairobi.
