Daily scheduled flights to Bwindi are available for clients who wish to spend less time on the road yet still want to enjoy the gorilla tracking experience. it saves one from the 9/10 hours of driving from Entebbe to Bwindi, and the flight is 1 hour, then it's 1 or 1.5 hours from the airstrip to your choice of accommodation in Bwindi Park.
Catch one of our daily scheduled flights to Kihihi and Kisoro airstrips to trek the mountain gorillas in Bwindi. We have the morning, mid-morning, and afternoon flights. Kisoro flights are strictly in the morning and subject to the prevailing weather conditions.

Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable Park
Upon arrival at Kihihi or Kisoro, you'll be met by a Phonex Expeditions Africa representative and driven to your accommodation. There are a variety of optional activities that can be done if time permits, or you can simply have a relaxed afternoon at your lodge.

Gorilla Trekking Day - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast at the Lodge, you'll head to the park's national headquarters to meet your guide and begin the unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure. Led by experienced guides and trackers, you'll embark on an early morning hike into the dense rainforest along the slopes of the mountains.
The trek, which involves navigating thick vegetation and steep terrain, offers a truly rewarding experience: the rare opportunity to observe the mountain gorillas up close in their natural habitat. You'll be just meters away from these incredible creatures, witnessing their behaviors and daily routine firsthand. With only 880 mountain gorillas left in the wild, this is a once-in-a-lifetime encounter you will never forget.
After the trek, you'll return to the lodge. If time permits, you may also enjoy a guided walk or visit a nearby community. Please note, the trek can be quite demanding, sometimes lasting for up to 6 hours or more and taking place at high altitudes. While sightings of the gorillas are not guaranteed due to their wild nature, the success rate is over 90%. Overnight stay at your lodge.
