Day by Day Itinerary

1

Lake Manyara National Park

We pick you up from your Arusha hotel and drive you to Lake Manyara National Park. The park derived its name from the Maasai word "manyara," which is the Swahili name of the plant Euphorbia tirucalli. The Maasai use this plant to grow livestock stockades, which mature into highly durable stockproof hedges.

The Great Rift Valley is a part of a fault in the Earth's crust that stretches 8,000 km (4,971 miles) from Turkey to the mouth of the Zambezi River in Mozambique. The fault is so massive that when astronauts landed on the moon, the Rift Valley was clearly visible to them.

2

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we proceed to Serengeti, Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park and famed for its annual migration, when some 6 million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thompson's gazelles join the wildebeest trek for fresh grazing. Yet, even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers a remarkable game-viewing experience in Africa.

HOT AIR BALLOON EXPERIENCE IS USD 546 PER PERSON (the price is separate from the total price above)

3

Serengeti Central ( Central Seronera)

After breakfast, we proceed to the central part of the Serengeti. This park is well known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the "Big Five," named for the five most prized trophies taken by the hunters: lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos & buffalos.

4

Ngorongoro Crater

We start with an early morning game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2,000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, jackals, flamingos, rhinos, gazelles, and various species of birds. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point.

5

Lake Eyasi Tour Trip ( Hadzabe, Datoga)

We depart for Lake Eyasi to visit the bushmen and observe their activities, such as hunting and wild fruit gathering. The Hadza, or Hadzabe, are an indigenous ethnic group in north-central Tanzania. They live in Lake Eyasi in the central Rift Valley and in the neighboring Serengeti plateau. The Hadza is under 1,000 in population, living as hunter-gatherers, among the last hunter-gatherers in the world.

6

Tarangire National Park

One of the largest national parks in Tanzania, located in the Manyara region, this place is characterized by large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees, also called the Trees of Life for the mythical powers that some cultures attach to them.  This park is especially known for the Tarangire River, which flows all year round and is the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons.

7

Tarangire National Park - Arusha

We continue with another game drive in Tarangire before we drive back to Arusha. You will be dropped off at the airport or hotel. We hope up to this moment you have enjoyed the best that Tanzania has to offer with Phonex Expeditions Africa.
